Day 1
We arrived in Milan on Monday morning October 3rd at 7:30 am after an overnight flight from the US. It didn't take us long to get our rental car, get checked in to our hotel and get our vacation started. A little rain wasn't enough to stop us from checking out the sites and getting acclimated to the Italian way of life. We enjoyed good food, wine and some site seeing during the two days we spent in Milan.
Day 2
We set out to see the Last Supper but we were informed that it was sold out and tickets would not be available until the following Thursday. We decided to give the Milan subway a shot and visit the Leonardo da Vinci exhibit at the museum of Science and Technology. We braved the subway and found our way to the museum. The exhibit was fantastic and we even got to see a full size reproduction of the last supper in the museum. Our lasting impression of Milan was one of a big city, much like New York with lots of busy people in a hurry. We had a great time and it was a good start to our vacation. Was two days enough? It was for us, the best thing about Milan for me was Cappuccino! It's everywhere and it's good. Coffee will never be the same.
